Grafana

Grafana is an interactive, Open Source data visualization platform. Collected information is modeled using graphs, which are brought together in one or more dashboards for optimal reading and understanding.

With the Grafana – Canopsis interconnection, Grafana can also trigger alerts based on the metrics displayed in its dashboards. As soon as a defined condition is met, a notification is sent via a configurable “contact point”.

Two notification channels are available:

• Webhook: Grafana sends alerts directly to the Prometheus connector in Canopsis
• Alertmanager: Grafana forwards the alert to Prometheus Alertmanager, which then redirects it to the Prometheus connector in Canopsis.

To enable Canopsis to receive and process these alerts, the Prometheus connector is essential. This component acts as an integration bridge: it collects alert messages from Alertmanager, or any compatible webhook, converts them to a format compatible with Canopsis, then injects them into the event processing engine.

Thanks to this interconnection, Canopsis benefits from native integration with Grafana, enabling monitoring, visualization and alert management to be unified within a single, coherent ecosystem.
